Jessica E. Ma, MD MHSc (she/her/hers)

Assistant Professor
Duke University School of Medicine

Jessica Ma is an Assistant Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine at Duke University School of Medicine and a staff palliative care physician in the Durham VA Health System. Her research focuses on improving care for patients with serious illnesses and specifically on two research areas: serious illness conversation documentation and chronic pain in advanced chronic diseases. She is currently funded by the HEAL national K12 clinical pain career development program to study pain management decision making in advanced chronic kidney disease.
