Bethany Calkins, MD MMM HMDC FAAHPM

Director of Palliative Medicine
Western New York Coordinated Medical Care

Dr. Calkins is a board certified hospice and palliative medicine physician, fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and carries the Hospice Medical Director certification. She worked for 4 years in a community hospice, seeing both pediatric and adult hospice and palliative care patients in the community. She worked 7 years as the Chief of Palliative Medicine at the Buffalo VA Medical Center, where she is a member of the faculty of the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship,. She is currently launching a home-based palliative care program for chronically complex Medicare Advantage patients in Buffalo.
